Andrew’s Eagle Scout project was to build a ga-ga pit for Tootin’ Hills School in Simsbury. Ga-ga is a game played with a ball in an octagonal ‘pit’ made of walls 12 feet long and 3 feet high. He worked with the Tootin Hills Principal Margaret Seidel and the school administration who ordered the materials. Andrew and assisting scouts sealed the wooden wall boards and drilled the bolt holes. They then transported the materials to the school and assembled the ga-ga pit in the school playground.
