4 Scouts Attain Rank of Eagle

SIMSBURY — Four Boy Scouts, including two brothers, were advanced to the rank of Eagle at a recent court of honor by Troop 174 in Simsbury. This is the highest award in scouting.

The boys are Charles and William Woloszynski, sons of Mr. and Mrs. John Woloszynski of 21 Madison Lane; Robert Hartje, son of Mr. and Mrs. Robert Hartje of 83 Old Meadow Plain Road; and Scott Lindquist, son of Mr. and Mrs. Robert Lindquist of 79 West Mountain Road.

Charles Woloszynski built a bridge at Town Forest to connect existing trails as his service project. He has been a patrol leader, a member of the Leadership Corps and has attended troop leader development.

His brother, William, 17, marked a cross-country ski trail on town property as his service project. He has been a patrol leader, senior patrol leader, has attended troop leader development and participated in High Adventure at the scout wilderness base in Maine.

Robert Hartje, 15, built a bridge connecting a jogging and cross-country ski trail near Simsbury Farms recreation complex. He has been a patrol leader, a member of the Leadership Corps, has attended troop leader development and High Adventure in Maine.

Scott Lindquist, 15, cleared a jogging and cross-country trail near the Simsbury farms recreation complex as his service project. He has been a patrol leader, a member of the Leadership Corps and has attended troop leader development and High Adventure in Maine.
